Meet Our Faculty
Hikmet Erdogan, Program Founder and Director
Hikmet Erdogan is the organizational powerhouse behind the Program, and seems to have unbounded energy for organizing and running programs that advance the mathematical genius of his students. He is the Program Coordinator at the Coral Academy of Sciences, and has a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. His past students participated in the Pan African Math Olympiads and the Balkan Junior Math Olympiad.
Arthur Baragan, Ph.D.
Arthur Baragar joined the team in fall of 2014. He has a Ph.D. from Brown University and is a professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at UNLV. For the Canadian IMO team, he was Leader in 2002 (Glasgow), Deputy Leader in 1999 (Bucharest), and Leader Observer in 1998 (Taiwan). As a high school student, he was a member of the 1981 Canadian IMO team (Washington).
